Our team at Glasscrafters guides you to select a theme and design for a panel or dome to be commissioned. If necessary, we could visit the site to judge the position and light parameters in order to select the intensity of colours and textures and types of glass to be used. A small-scale drawing is then produced as a proof for approval. Following approval, the full-scale work is produced. The execution of the stained glass project is a highly skilled and labour intensive process.

Over the years, Glassfrafters has been involved in several major stained glass restoration projects. We have restored stained glaass windows in several prestigious churches in Bangalore and South India. Using a variety of techniques, we are able to restore old or damaged glass panels to their former glory. The original glass is preserved as far as is possible, while unusable or missing parts are made afresh and assembled. We have our own furnaces and oxides and we strive to maintain the originality of the antique stained glass panels. We do both lead came and copper foil techniques and high temperature staining or painting and firing which will not fade.

At Glasscrafters, we are always looking for opportunities to make stained glass art for public spaces such as parks, public buildings such as schools, hospitals and police stations. We hope to bring a cheery splash of colour to our spaces and could serve as a low-maintenance creative community project. It would also be eco-friendly as we will be using smaller left over off cuts or "scrap" glass to make up-cycled art as mosaics or murals.
